Taking Kids To Another Level...
The Holiday Valley Junior Ski Teams provide an excellent opportunity for young aspiring athletes to develop their skiing/riding skills both mentally and physically. Former world class competitors and internationally ranked coaches provide professional instruction in alpine and freestyle skiing. The snowboard team and freeride team round out the options of the junior programs.
Holiday Valley Ski Team members often qualify to compete on state and national levels. Two alumni are currently members of the US Ski team, competing on the World Cup and Olympic levels. The emphasis of Junior Team coaching is on having fun through training and competition. Concentration on improving overall skiing skills gives kids a chance to experiment with all diciplines of the sport and have fun skiing all types of terrain at Holiday Valley.
The programs are based in the newly expanded and rennovated Training Center, complete with ski storage, lockers, tuning benches and lunch room. Team members should have intermediate or better skiing or riding skills.
Alpine Racing Training in slalom, giant slalom, super G and downhill racing.
Freestyle Training in moguls, and upright aerials in the terrain park and half pipe. For a great time this winter, join the Holiday Valley Freestyle Team and find out why they're called the "Freestyle Factory"!
Snowboarding Training in slopestyle, rails, halfpipe and park skills.
Freeride Training in the half pipe and parks on skis. Saturday and Sunday plus Christmas Camp.
Program costs for Race Team, Freestyle Team, Freeride Team or Snowboard Team are $695 for the season, if paid by September 15, $725 if paid by November 15, 2007. ($760 after Nov. 15) This price includes Christmas Camp, Dec. 27-31, 2007. A special rate on a combo season pass is available for $299.
Screaming Eagles A development program for kids ages 11 and above. $695 for the season, if paid by September 15, $725 if paid by November 15, 2007. ($760 after Nov. 15) This price includes Christmas Camp, Dec. 27-31, 2007. A special rate on a combo season pass is available for $299.
Masters Program A recreational and competitive racing program or mogul skiing program for adults wanting to improve their skiing skills in and out of the gates or moguls, includes 11-12 selected Saturday and Sunday mornings from January to March. Cost is $385 if paid by September 15, 2007, $405 if paid by November 15 or $425 after November 15, 2007. Christmas Camp with the Masters Program is an additional $50.
