Boasting a peak elevation of 13,050 feet and always topped with snow, Arapahoe Basin is The Legend and a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Enjoy over 100 trails uniquely carved across the peaks or spend a relaxing day in the base area taking in the lodge and the Beach. Seven lifts take you to all the action, high up on the Continental Divide and where all the great powder is found.

Open bowls above timberline make this the gathering place for the advanced skier. But it also provides plenty of fun, forgiving terrain for folks who seek a bit less stimulating adventure. If you're seeking a real challenge, hike to the Upper East Wall and feast your eyes on a beautiful view above and steep chutes below. Yet some of the hot powder spots is a mere traverse over to the Lower East Wall.

The mountain offers a plethora of events for all ages and ski levels each season, from telemark clinics to better your skills to its annual parking lot cookouts and weekend tailgating.

Added just a few years ago, The Montezuma Bowl is the latest expansion for the ski area. 400 acres were added to increase the size of Arapahoe Basin by 80% and this addition has added new fans from all over. Test you skills on blue, black and double black slopes with cornices, chutes, glades and wide-open bowls. Don't worry, groomers tame a few slopes but Montezuma Bowl is for the adventurous rider who is looking to enjoy a backcountry experience.

Boasting one of the longest seasons in North America, Arapahoe Basin sometimes opens in October and attempts to offer good snow until the Fourth of July.

As stewards of an exceptional mountain environment, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is committed to providing quality outdoor recreation experiences. The staff and guests realize Arapahoe Basin is a priceless natural treasure. A-Basin strives to continually improve the environmental performance in order to provide enjoyment of Arapahoe Basin for future generations of snow and mountain enthusiasts.
