The Sonnenalp name and tradition date back nearly a century to Bavaria where the Faessler family opened a hotel known for offering personalized services in beautiful surroundings. General Room Description - All of our suites are equipped with a comfortable seating area with a gas log fireplace and armoire with TV/ VCR/Nintendo and Mini-bar. Also each suite has a balcony/ writing desk/ internet connection/ goose down comforters/ and a luxurious bathroom with heated marble floors/ separate soaking tub and shower and double sinks. A1J - The Blue Spruce suite is approximately 570 sq. ft. -190 sq. m- with a king bed or two double beds. Seating area and bedding are in the same room. D1J - The lodgepole is our smallest suite - approximately 490 sq. ft. -163 sq. m- with a king or two double beds in the same area as the seating. This suite has a view of the Vail Village. A2S - The Vail Mountain Suite is our most deluxe suite - approximately 1350 sq. ft. -450 sq. m- with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom with a king bed/ the other with two double beds. This suite also features a large separate seating area. From this deluxe suite you will enjoy an enchanting view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. B2S - The Golden Peak Suite has two bedrooms - one with a King bed and the other with two doubles û and a separate seating area. Approximately 1050 sq. ft.-350 sq. m- with an enchanting view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. A1S - The Bald Mountain Suite has one bedroom with either a king bed or two doubles and a separate seating area. Each Bald Mountain Suite has a view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain Approximately 795sq. ft. -265 sq. m- B1S - The Gore Creek suite is approximately 770 sq. ft -256 sq. m.- with one bedroom and a separate seating area. These suites also have a murphy bed in the seating area. You will enjoy a beautiful view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. C1S - The Gore Creek is approximately 770 sq. ft. -256 sq. m.- with one bedroom and a separate seating area. These suite also have a murphy bed in the seating area. This suite has a view of the Vail Village. D1S - The Mill Creek suite has a loft bedroom with either a kind bed or two double beds and a separate seating area. From this suite you will enjoy an enchanting view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. Approximately 725 sq. ft. -241 sq. m.- A2D - Juniper Room is at 300 sq. ft. and has two double beds. This standard hotel room is decorated in a European style with Bavarian accents. The room has an LCD flat screen TV/ High Speed Wireless Internet/ and lavish marble bathroom with heated floors. ACS - Castle Peak 2Bdrm Ste is 1600 sq. ft. and is the largest and most luxurious suite at the Sonnenalp. There is a King bed in one bedroom and 2 doubles in the other bedroom. Both Bedrooms have there own deluxe marble baths with deep soaking tubs and separate glass showers.
