The Strater Hotel has been the centerpiece of Historic Durango since 1887. Walk into the lobby and lose a century. Memorabilia of historical significance fill display cases throughout the hotel. Each of our 93 guest rooms is appointed with hand-painted wallpaper, custom made window dressings, and authentic American Victorian-era antiques. Turn right on 7th street, go two blocks, turn right onto main Avenue. Hotel is on the corner. |
From Major City
From Albuquerque, Take I25 North to Highway 550 North. Follow Highway 550 North into Durango to the intersection of Highway 550 North and Highway 160 west. Turn left onto Highway 160 West and follow this road approximately 5 miles, stay in your right hand lane. Highway 160 will go to the left, you will want to go straight. Turn right on 7th street, go two blocks, turn right onto Main Avenue. Hotel is on the corner. |
