Golden Bear Cottages, established in 1924, the AAA approved Cabins are nestled among historic pines on six scenic acres in Big Bear Lake, CA.
Outdoor recreational facilities on this Diamond rated resort are for adults and children and include a beautiful heated pool and spa(the spa is open all winter). There is sand lot volleyball, ping-pong, horseshoes, basketball, shuffleboard, and a large cedar play set and sandbox for small children. A private salon is located right on the property and offers massages by registered massage therapists.
The largest "Retreat Lodge", (cabin #28) is perfect for meetings, conferences, reunions and retreats. This large cabin has indoor meeting space for at least 50 persons and sleeping accomodations for up to 21 people, it is Big Bear Lake's most unique cabin for a large party. They even have a rustic meeting room available for parties or groups up to 75 persons. You can also add as many of the other 27 cabins for a group of up to 200 persons by using the entire six acre resort.
Golden Bear Cottages also features a large outdoor fire pit with bench seating which is open during permit periods. Individual barbecues and private picnic areas for each cottage.
Golden Bear Cottages is located on Big Bear Blvd, 3 blocks past Boulder Bay and just minutes away from Big Bear's ski resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. They are also Big Bear's closest lodging to Snow Valley.
Golden Bear Cottages is a AAA approved Diamond rated, four season family resort, located just one half to one block from Big Bear Lake and 1.2 miles from Big Bear's quaint village shops. It is the only lodging property certified clean by the Rest Assured Corporation (that's the company you have seen on TV's Prime Time). Winter SPA package deals are available which can include a private massage with your lodging reservation. Ask for details.
Visit the office and gift shop for items you may have forgotten and souvineers. We also have a wide selection of over 2000 exciting videos for rent, board games, karaoke machines, snacks, drinks, and firewood.
Don't forget, your pets are welcome in over half of our cabins! Pet friendly cabins have fenced yards for your pet's safety and your convenience.

50% deposit due when booking your reservation, balance is due upon arrival. Groups require 50% deposit, balance 30 days prior to arrival.
Checks or money orders accepted if received 30 days prior to arrival.
Credit card imprint or security deposit at check-in.
Pets allowed only in pet friendly cottage at charge $10 per day.
A resort cleaning fee of $25 minimum will be added to all reservations.
We are registered square trade member. Members of both the Big Bear Lake Resort Assocation and Chamber of Commerce. AAA approved Diamond rated resort.
We ar the only lodging property in Big Bear Lake with the Rest Assured certifed clean seal.

No refunds for early departure. Groups have special reservation policies, please contact office.
Cancellations more than 30 days from check-in date may receive a date change with no penalty, or credit minus a cancellation fee of $25 per day.
For cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival, a rain check or date change minus $25 per day will be issued.
Cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival may receive a rain check or date change minus a $25 per day cancellation fee if cabin is re-booked, no refunds during this period.
