Enjoy Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing Just a Short Drive From Killington

The Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort offers a world class cross country ski and snow shoe experience that is pure fun.

The "Mountain Top Ski Touring Center" was one of the first commercial cross country ski center in Vermont. Now with over a quarter century of serving the skiing public the facility has perfected their program with up to date equipment and grooming procedures.

The extensive trail system, of 60 kilometers, is meticulously groomed to offer a wide variety of classical ski track and skating lanes for our guests.

Because of our unique snowmaking system, the Resort can blanket a 1km loop with machine made snow to ensure good skiing conditions from December through March when blue skies, sunshine and warm temperatures reward spring skiers.

Located in a renovated horse stable, the Center features a retail shop, equipment, waxes and accessories, plus ski and snowshoe rentals. The ski school has a staff of friendly and knowledgeable instructors for all skill levels.

The resort's PistenBully groomer helps to ensure that conditions are always perfect for guests.

After you've worked up an appetite on the trails, the Nordic Center offers refreshing drinks, sandwiches & wraps, homebaked cookies and a place to put your feet up with friends and family by the potbelly stove.

The Resort is proud to be a member of the Vermont Ski Area Association, Cross Country Ski Areas Association and The Catamount Trail Association.

Additional activities that leave from the Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center include horse drawn sleigh rides, dog sledding and snowmobile tours. The short walk to the Lodge offers a ride down Vermont's best old-fashioned sledding hill.
