Alta Community Enrichment (ACE) is a volunteer organization that creates opportunities in the community for individual and group participation in arts, cultural events, and education.
ACE was started in 1995 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1997. Since inception ACE has served as the Alta Arts Council by offering quality and diverse events and programs.
The history of cultural activities created and sponsored by community volunteers of Alta dates back to the mid-seventies. These included such events as the week long Snowflake Festival, Christmas Choir, live music, poetry readings, yoga and t'ai chi classes.
Currently, ACE is run by volunteers, staff, and board of directors. ACE has been the recipient of numerous grants including the National Endowment for the Arts, Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Fund, and the 2002 Salt Lake Cultural Olympics. Additional Funding is received from the generous contributions of community members, foundations, and in-kind donations.

Visual Arts
...programs that focus on art and education represented in local, regional and international cultures interacting within our community.
Arts Education
...programs that offer the opportunity for artists to demonstrate their work in painting, drawing, watercolor, photography, holiday crafts, pottery, wildflower identification, musical instruments, film, writing, dance and theater.
Cultural Events
...performances in music, dance, theater and ACE sponsored special events
