Come summer, Holiday Valley is robed in lush green and magnificent gardens. The 18 hole regulation golf course is beautiful, challenging and well maintained.
The course is a pleasing blend of a mountain and flat terrain. The relatively level front nine plays longer and is built around a series of ponds.
The back nine winds its way through the base of the mountains and provides spectacular views. The fairways are short but narrow and this nine provides a very stern test of golf. Holiday Valley has long been noted for its beautiful bent grass greens. The greens are carefully manicured to provide a true putting surface.
The course measures 6300 yards, but plays the equivalent of a much longer course. The combination of well-watered fairways and several holes that play uphill extends the 18 holes and makes play more challenging. The slope from the blue tees is 125, white is 120 and red is 109.
